STATE APPROVALS OF SEAGULL COURSES

Here at Seagull, we have worked constantly to maintain our approvals in most states. This provides multi-state licenced firms the ability to gain state-to-state licensure across our country.

Because of this, the Seagull certificate is one of the the most sought after AHERA certification available.

In most cases, the State will accept any valid AHERA cert as long as the Training Provider had been approved by the EPA (EPA no longer approves AHERA training) or the Training Provider has the course approved by another State that has EPA authorization. This is called reciprocity. It would be said that this State is recipricol with EPA approved training.

If the State demands the certificate be issued by a Training Provider specifically approved by that state, the participant may be able gain licensure into the State by taking a refresher course from a training provder that is approved by the State. There is no regulatory language on how soon you can refresh a certificate.

There are a couple of States where they only accept Training Providers approved by the state in a course conducted on the soil of that State. Those States are currently Washington State and New Jersey. New York State accepts our certificate based on our EPA approvals, but we are not approved for work in the City of New York.

Outside of that, we suggest you contact each specific State you plan to work in with regard to applying for a license to work in that State. A list of contact numbers for Authorized States may be found in the State section your Seagull Manual.
