Lead-Based Paint Inspector and Risk Assessor Training Courses
Developed to meet Federal and State Lead-Based Paint Model Accreditation Program requirements, the Lead-Based Paint Inspection/Risk Assessor courses are designed to be taken as either one five-day course covering both Lead-Based Paint Inspection and Risk Assessment, or as two courses which may be taken individually. Hands-on lab sessions make up one-half of the Lead-Based Paint Inspection course. This course is taken by individuals who are responsible for inspecting school buildings, public and commercial or industrial facilities for Lead-Based Paint and/or by facility management personnel or building owners which may provide advise on the management or abatement of Lead-Based Paint problems.

LEAD-BASED PAINT RISK ASSESSOR
 
The Risk Assessor course is a two-day course that prepares persons to assess the Lead-Based Paint inspectors reports, evaluate Lead hazard risks, select control strategies, and develop programs and policies to be followed by the facility owner. This course is required by many states for local accreditation and licensing as a Risk Assessor.
 
PLEASE NOTE: The risk assessors must have completed an approved Lead-Based Paint inspection course as a prerequisite.

A 50 question, multiple choice examination will be administered at the end of both the Lead-Based Paint Inspection and Risk Assessor courses. Those with a passing score of 70% or better will be awarded a certificate of accreditation. Students must also pass a skills assessment.
 
The course fee includes all instructional materials, exam administration, and certificate.
 
Lead-Based Paint Risk Assessor Annual Refresher Training
This course is designed as full-day, 8-hour courses. The course meets all the Lead-Based Paint many local state requirements for re-certification. Included in these updates is a review of the Lead-Based Risk Assessor duties under the US. Environmental Protection Agency (US. EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. In addition, this training will increase your understanding of recent developments in Lead-Based Paint hazard assessment, control and management.
  • This is an annual review. If you have been certified as a Lead-Based Paint Risk Assessor for one year or more, you MUST - BY LAW - take a re-certification course in order to maintain your accreditation and to be eligible for the renewal of state licensing.

    LEAD-BASED PAINT RISK ASSESSOR REFRESHER
     
    Risk Assessor refresher is an 8-hour comprehensive review for persons who assess building inspection reports, evaluate Lead-Based Paint risks, select control strategies and develop programs and policies. This course is required by many states for re-accreditation as a Risk Assessor
