Asbestos Management Planner Training Courses
Developed to meet all Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) requirements, the Management Planner course is designed to be taken as either one two-day course for those individuals providing current documentation of a prior AHERA Building Inspector course. This course is normally taken by individuals who are employed by consulting firms, building owners or school personnel or are responsible for interpreting asbestos building inspections or surveys providing clients with written advise on the management or abatement of asbestos for school buildings, or commercial or industrial facilities.
 
 
 
ASBESTOS BUILDING MANAGEMENT PLANNNER
  • Management Planner is a two-day course that prepares persons to assess building inspection reports, evaluate ACM risks, select control strategies, and develop programs and policies to be followed by the facility owner. This course is required by AHERA for accreditation as a Management Planner.

    PLEASE NOTE: The EPA requires Management Planners to have completed an approved building inspection course as a prerequisite.

    A 50 question, multiple choice examination will be administered at the end of both the Building Inspection and Management Planning courses. Those with a passing score of 70% or better will be awarded a certificate of accreditation.
     
    The course fee includes all instructional materials , exam administration, and certificate.
     
  • Asbestos Management Planner Annual Refresher Training

    This course is designed to be taken as one (4-hour) half-day course. The course meets all the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) requirements for recertification. Included in the update is a review of the Management Planner's duties under the US. Environmental Protection Agency (US. EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. In addition, this training will increase your understanding of recent developments in asbestos hazard assessment, evaluation and control.

    This is an annual review. If you have been certified as a Management Planner for one year or more, you MUST - BY LAW - take a re-certification course in order to maintain your accreditation and to be eligible for the renewal of your license.

  • ASBESTOS MANAGEMENT PLANNER REFRESHER

    Management Planner refresher is a half-day comprehensive review for persons who assess building inspection reports, evaluate ACM risks, select control strategies and develop programs and policies. This course is required under AHERA for reaccreditation as a Management Planner.

    PLEASE NOTE: The EPA requires Management Planners to have completed an approved building inspection course as a prerequisite.

    In addition, an update of the following topics will be presented:

    • Health and Safety Issues
    • Management Plans
     
    A multiple choice examination will be administered at the end of both the Building Inspection Review and Management Planning Review courses. Those with a passing score of 70% or better will be awarded a certificate of accreditation.

    Students may register for the full, one-day Building Inspection/Management Planning Review. Or, you may register only for the Building Inspection morning session or the Management Planning afternoon session.
